Get Moving! Pt 1

Hello all and Happy Valentine’s Day! First of all, I am sorry for not posting for a long time but anyways let’s get started! Last article, (for health and beauty) we looked at Healthy lifestyle and I gave you a workout idea. Be aware this is going to be a LONG article (or a little longer than usual). Now I am going to give you another way to stay healthy except it won’t be as intense as doing a workout. GET YOUR STEPS UP! This can burn tons of calories and easy to do! To count yout steps, I would recommend using a smartwatch (if you have it) but if not then you can download a step counter app on your phone (although it won’t be as accurate as a watch and you should have it all the time). Here are some ideas to get your steps up :
- Go for run every morning!
- Don’t waste time sitting down! Walk as much as you can!
- Walk to school or work or park further away.
- Go on a walk in the evenings (this helps digestion)
- Don’t always drive/take public transport! ( This can help the environment and save money)
Here are some ideas for when there is unpredictable weather or any other reason stopping you from going outside (this helped during lockdown)
- Walk around the house or the stairs!
- Use a treadmill (if you have one)
- Jumping Jacks or jump rope
- Pacing forwards and backwards fast
- Do more tasks that require more activity
Aim to do 10000 steps per day and burn off at least 150 calories! (These goals are just suggestions)
So get moving!
